Stitcher

Stitcher is originally an American term for a person who performs the last steps in finishing an item of clothing in a garment factory or atelier.

By the end of the twentieth century the term was in widespread use within the English language and was also being used for someone who stitches an embroidery pattern without having designed the pattern, or for someone who works cross stitch embroideries. The term is sometimes used in a derogatory manner for embroiderers.
