Minikin

Minikin is a term used for a form of fine gold wire, more commonly known as pearl-purl.

It should be noted that this meaning of the word is not in the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, nor in TORTORA, Phyllis G. and Ingrid JOHNSON (2014). The Fairchild Books: Dictionary of Textiles, 8th edition, London: Bloomsbury.
