Click on illustration for more information. The Wednesday morning workshop on 6 May is all about felt making. Using soap and water, we will process loose wool (carded, unspun wool). Friction with our hands creates a woollen sheet. This felting technique is called wet felting.

By including coloured wool or silk yarns and/or tufts of wool or silk during the felting process, decorative patterns can be created. The applications for such a woollen sheet are countless.

The teacher, Ms. Maria Linkogle, will show numerous examples, some of which from the TRC collection. As always, this workshop is intended for anyone who not only wants to obtain information but also wants to actually get started. Prior knowledge is not necessary.
