Examples of needle binding.Needlebinding (Nålbindning) is a technique that is thousands of years old. It was used for making textiles with needle and thread. Long before the invention of knitting and crochet, people used needle binding to make socks, hats and gloves.
There are two ways to do it: freehand and over the thumb. The latter method is especially suitable for the more complicated stitches. During the workshop we practice the Oslo stitch and some variants of it.
If you have no previous experience we can recommend to start with the workshop needlebinding for beginners on the 11th of November.
Participants do not need to bring anything except patience. If you have a binding needle yourself, you can of course bring it with you.
