  • A Kosay coat from Uruzgan, southern Afghanistan. Acquired in March 2010. Read more
  • Buzkashi outfit from North Afghanistan, including boots, trousers, jacket, cap and whip. Acquired in October 2009. Read more
  • Mongolian garments and complete outfits. Acquired in September 2009.
  • Woman's outfit from Afghanistan, consisting of a pair of trousers, a dress and a head covering. Originally given to a Dutch military officer by an Afghan police chief in Uruzgan, South Afghanistan, in the winter of 2007/2008. Acquired in September 2009. Read more
  • Two pairs of shoes from Rumania, one for an adult, the other for a child. They are both made out of the inner band of a car tyre. Originally bought new in Sacet, Maramureg Province, in 1993. Presented in July 2009 to the TRC by Ms Margreet Oortmeyer, Leiden.
  • Buddhist monk's outfit from Nepal. Given to the TRC by the Zen Temple at the Hogewoerd 162, Leiden, next door to the new premises of the TRC. Acquired in July 2009.

TRC closed until 4 May 2026

The TRC is closed to the public until Monday, 4 May 2026, due to our move to the Boerhaavelaan. The TRC remains in contact via the web, telephone and email. For direct contact and personal visits, please contact the TRC at office@trcleiden.org, or by mobile, 06-28830428.

Donations

The TRC is dependent on project support and individual donations. All of our work is being carried out by volunteers.
