The Palazzo Schifanoia in Ferrara, Italy, is decorated by frescoes painted by Cosme Tura, Francesco del Cossa, Baldassare d'Este and Ercole Roberti. The Triumph of Minerva by Francesco del Cossa (c. 1435 - c. 1477) is located on the eastern wall.

The goddess is placed in the centre, while a group of magistrates and lawyers is positioned on the left side, and on the right side there are women doing needlework (the symbol of women's work). The woman to the left is working an embroidery on a frame; the woman in the centre is holding a pair of shears.
