Mesh Count

Mesh count is a method used to categorise nets of various kinds based on the number of holes or threads per cm/inch.

There are consequently two main systems of indicating the mesh count: (a) based on counting the number of holes per cm/inch, and (b) based on the number of warp/weft threads per cm/inch. Care has to be taken which system is being used.
