Stitch Stories: Personal Places, Spaces and Traces in Textile Art was written by Cas Holmes. It helps the reaxder to use his or her personal experiences, sketchbooks, photographs etc. to create personal narratives that can be used for stitched textiles.

Cas Holmes (1960) is a British textile artist and teacher who draws much of her inspiration for her work from her journeys. She is known for using simple techniques and materials. The book was published in 2015 by Pavilion Books.  ISBN 9781849942744. Other books by Cas Holmes include The Found Object in Textile Art (2010), and, together with Anne Kelly, Connected Cloth (2013). More recent publications include:  Textile Landscape (2018) and Embroidering the Everyday (2021).
