The Textile Research Centre wants to stimulate people to discover the World of Dress at home. The TRC therefore has a shop where you can buy new and secondhand books on textiles and dress, including Dutch regional dress, but also craft items from all over the world. The shop also sells collection care items, including acid free paper and boxes for storing your delicate textiles and articles of dress, rolls for more compact storage of long textile items, heads and wigs for display purposes, etc. There is also a range of tools, materials and threads for cotton spinning, crochet, embroidery, hairpin lace production, and silk cocoons for making silk paper. Other items for sale include a wide range of beads for making or restoring Dutch regional dress, including imitation garnets, blood coral and jet, plus all sorts of metal and glass seed beads for embroidery.

New and secondhand books can also be ordered via the internet, by bowsing through the digital catalogues. The procedure is very easy. Select the book(s) you want to purchase and go to Product Detail. Add the desired item(s) to your digital shopping list ("Add to Cart"). Send your completed list, as indicated, to the TRC. You will shortly receive by e-mail a confirmation of your order, plus an invoice that includes the relevant postage costs. Once the TRC has received the money, the items will be sent to you.
