Each quilt has a screen printed photo of the soldier, his/her name and rank, and the words “in remembrance to.” Fabrics with red, white and blue colours are often used. These textiles may include images of eagles, American flags, or images reflecting the 11 September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York (USA). In 2010 the project was handed over to the Caprock Quilters, a group of military wives in Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The project has since merged with the Home of the Brave Quilt Project.
